The Faroe Islands are a small group of North Atlantic islands located half way between Norway to the east, and Iceland to the west. While in the high north, weather and temperature are moderated by the Gulf Stream's north eastern flow. The population of the Faroe Islands is highly dependant on the fishing industry, and thus as a nation they depend on a healthy global environment to keep fisheries vaible.
